Over the past seven years Kyle Grist has worked on a variety of project types and sizes throughout Texas. Gaining valuable experience in Houston’s diverse market, Kyle introduces a dynamic perspective to his projects in Austin. Originally from the grasslands of Kansas, Kyle’s passion for creating outdoor spaces stems from an appreciation of the native prairie and a keen understanding of human interaction within the built environment.
Kyle has applied this knowledge to develop wide-ranging site solutions from complex greenroof amenity spaces to intimate community parks. With experience in all phases of project development, he has acquired a practical expertise of conceptual design through construction completion.
Kyle is currently designing and modeling multi-level rooftop amenity terraces as well as streetscapes for a downtown tower balanced with extensive time in the field observing the construction of Austin’s first parking space parklet. Outside of the studio, Kyle enjoys brewing beer and riding his bike, but never at the same time.
Kyle is a licensed landscape architect in Texas #3233.
