Night Garden was shortlisted in both the small built category and the editor’s choice award.
Night gardens are spaces for dreaming. dwg. temporarily transformed a stretch of Austin’s urban creek into an experiential dream about that creek’s potential. Night Garden reveals and celebrates a hidden urban ecology and shifts perceptions through a powerful, immersive, site-specific art installation. The mission of Creek Show is to surprise and delight the community while creating awareness about the importance of the Waller Creek transformation for Austin’s social, cultural and ecological future.
The Pershing was shortlisted in the small build category.
The Pershing represents the adaptive reuse of an industrial relic into an urban social club. Designed for creatives and entrepreneurs, the space provides a unique environment to work and celebrate an array of social and cultural events.Formerly a lumberyard, the existing site was characterized by a captivating grittiness. dwg. aimed to illuminate, transform and sustainably reclaim the site. The resulting exterior courtyard provides users with an experience that is gritty and at the same time rich and luxurious.
