Alpha West

Alpha West is a 14-acre mixed-use development comprised of multifamily, a prototype hotel, structured parking, retail, and offices that are focused around a series of open spaces including courtyards, plazas, and a central green. Formerly a brownfield site, the resulting urban infill development embraces an urban lifestyle, with a commitment to design excellence and environmental resiliency.

Pedestrian priority is amplified by designing slimmed driveways and streets. Streetscapes feature enhanced paver streets, flush curbs, limited street parking, narrower street profiles, and an emphasis on wider, more active and programmed sidewalks. The project promotes innovative water quality strategies—utilizing rain gardens to clean runoff—as well as A/C condensate and rainwater capture techniques for irrigation and water feature use.
