Barbara grew up in the rainy woods of Seattle and then decided to move to Texas for a little sunshine when she began her Architecture degree at the University of Houston. During this time, her experience focused on community design, resilient strategies and planning where she helped create resident-driven plans to build healthy communities.

Her interest in socially and ecologically responsible design originates from her experience in working with underserved communities and it was the driving factor that led her to pursue a career in Landscape Architecture. Barbara is excited to be part of dwg.’s collaborative design studio and to have a positive impact in our built environment. You can find Barbara walking along the lake on the weekends, visiting farmer’s markets or hiking around cool nature spots in the city.
