landscape design intern
Katharine hails from Tyler, Texas but has been in Austin since 2006, when she came to study sociology at St. Edward's University. While at St. Edward's, she took Urban Sociology and Environmental Sociology classes that opened up the world of possibilities for her by showing her how the natural and built can create both social change and a positive sense of place.
River guiding, rowing, backcountry hiking, farming, creating, and exploring all influenced her desire to take her residential landscaping experience to the next level by studying landscape architecture at the University of Texas at Austin.
Completing her second year of her graduate studies, she joins dwg. as a summer intern with the hope of learning about the process of implementing a project.
In her spare time, you can find her howling at the moon during free swim at Barton Springs, rowing with her crew on Lady Bird Lake, hiking in the greenbelt, having a drink with friends on her porch, or exploring Central Texas.
